Honoring 20 Years of Service and Dedication to Mercy!

This Labor Day, it is our privilege to honor an amazing and godly woman on our staff. Beth Wood, the Director of Counseling in our Monroe home, has faithfully served Mercy Ministries for 20 years, six as a volunteer and 14 as a staff member. She is now looking forward to her retirement.

Last week, the Monroe staff and residents surprised Beth with a special retirement celebration, cards and gifts. Everyone shared from the heart their appreciation for Beth, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Founder and President of Mercy Ministries, Nancy Alcorn, also honored Beth with a gift to thank her for her many years of service as well as a plaque honoring her dedication to Mercy. Beth will be retiring to Michigan near her family and will continue to volunteer as a Christian counselor to individuals through her church.
