Great Weekend At Crossroads Church In Lafayette, LA!!!

Founder and President of Mercy Ministries, Nancy Alcorn, had the awesome privilege of speaking at the closing session of Joie De Vivre’s Annual Women’s Conference at Crossroads Church in Lafayette, LA Friday evening. Crossroads Church is led by Pastors Jeff and Donna Ables, two amazing people who are passionate to reach their city with the love of Christ.

Meredith Andrews and Nancy
Meredith Andrews, worship leader from Harvest Bible Church in Chicago, opened the evening with a truly anointed time of worship and special music. Nancy then spoke a powerful message of freedom and transformation and shared the vision of Mercy Ministries. After the closing session of the conference on Friday, Nancy had the privilege of speaking at four weekend church services, beginning on Saturday evening and followed by three additional services on Sunday. God is really moving in a big way at Crossroads Church, and they are now in the process of building a 3,000 seat sanctuary due for completion in November.

A special highlight for Nancy was the chance to reconnect with five Mercy graduates. Each of these graduates is a living testament to the power of God to transform lives. One graduate, Jessica, came to Mercy in 1998 at age 17 facing an unplanned pregnancy. She chose to parent her daughter and has since gotten married and had 6 additional children, including a set of 4-year-old twin girls! Here is a photo of Nancy with Jessica and the twins:

It was an incredible time of fellowship, and God really moved in the hearts of the people at Crossroads Church. They gave a tremendous offering to help Mercy Ministries continue taking in hurting young women free of charge. Here are some more photos from this amazing, power-packed weekend:
