Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen Bring Message of Hope to Nashville Mercy Residents

Residents at the Nashville home were so encouraged by the messages given by Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen at “A Night of Hope” this past weekend! Pastors Joel and Victoria of Lakewood Church in Houston, TX encouraged everyone to believe that 2011 can be a year of new beginnings, better relationships, better lives and hope for the future. What an incredible and appropriate message for the young women at Mercy Ministries!

Pastor Joel had all the Nashville residents stand for a special introduction along with his good friend and Founder and President of Mercy Ministries, Nancy Alcorn.  Director of Music and Worship for Joel Osteen Ministries and Lakewood Church, Cindy Ratcliff, shared her personal story of adopting twins born to a young woman at Mercy Ministries who made the brave decision to choose life for her babies and place them with a loving Christian family. It was an incredible time of teaching and fellowship for all of the residents and staff who attended. Here’s what some of the girls had to say about the event:

Pastor Joel was speaking to my heart! The Lord showed me so many things through his teaching. It was awesome! - Ashley

Every single word that was spoken was so relevant, I felt like God was speaking directly to me. The Biblical examples and analogies about persevering were incredible. I definitely left feeling so encouraged. - Amanda
