Mercy Ministries Residents and Staff Learn About The Power Of Thinking!!!

Dr. Caroline Leaf
“You cannot control the events or circumstances of your life, but you can control your reaction to them.” Learning to say “I can” was the focus of a fascinating talk given by Dr. Caroline Leaf to the staff and residents of the Nashville Mercy Ministries home today. Since 1981, Dr. Leaf has researched the human brain with an emphasis on unlocking its vast, untapped potential. Her unique method of marrying science with the Christian faith was amazing and a huge encouragement to everyone.

Dr. Leaf taught the girls that every thought is an actual physical structure in the brain. These thoughts affect us physically and emotionally. Negative thinking is toxic to our brains, and as a result, our entire bodies. Dr. Leaf said that 87% to 95% of the illnesses that plague us today are a direct result of our thought life. She explained the link between the spiritual, intellectual and medical reasons to choose right thinking and applying God’s Word to every thought. Dr. Leaf encouraged everyone that by consciously controlling your thought life you can literally detox your brain.

Dr. Leaf has several books and courses and generously donated her resources to the Mercy Ministries library, including her “Switch On Your Brain™ 5-Step Learning Process.” Dr. Leaf has traveled around the world speaking to both Christian and secular audiences about the God-given ability to change your brain by changing your thoughts, and it was such an honor to have her come and speak to our staff and residents.
