HCA Volunteers Come to Mercy Ministries

Everyone at the Nashville based corporate offices of Mercy Ministries was so blessed to have the help of some dedicated volunteers last week. HCA (Hospital Corporation of America), one of the nation’s leading providers of health care services, is committed to reaching out to the communities they serve. Every year, HCA employees in Nashville participate in “Community Day” where volunteers roll up their sleeves and fill in wherever they are needed at the agency of their choice.

Last Thursday, a group of 10 men and women chose to spend their day volunteering at Mercy Ministries. They put together information packets, entered data, organized the closets, and especially enjoyed calling and thanking our donors. Here’s what one HCA employee had to say about why she wanted to volunteer at Mercy:

“It was my first time coming here and because of their involvement with teenage girls and being a former foster parent who saw a lot of girls with these issues, Mercy was at the top of my list!” - Damita

Our staff is so thankful for practical help that makes such a huge difference!
We are so grateful to HCA for choosing to help Mercy Ministries and the young women we serve and are looking forward to their next visit!
