Mercy Ministries Graduate Celebrates Freedom!

Residents and staff gathered together with family and friends at the Lincoln home yesterday to celebrate the graduation of an amazing young woman. We wanted to share Hali’s incredible story of transformation:

Before coming to Mercy Ministries, I was angry and manipulative and had a morbid fascination with death. I wanted attention and began cutting, abusing drugs and alcohol, and binge eating. I knew I needed help but I had no idea how to get it. My mother heard about Mercy Ministries at church. I grew up in a Christian family so I knew God would change my life if I made the hard decision to go to Mercy.

During my time at Mercy, God showed me who I am in Christ and that He has had a plan for me all along. I am excited about life and no longer desire to cut, binge or use drugs and alcohol. God has purified me! He has made me white as snow!

I hope to one day be a wife and mother but in the meantime, I plan to serve in my church, get a job, and possibly go to Bible College.

Congratulations Hali! We are so glad you made the decision to trust God for your healing and we look forward to all that he has in store for you!
