Friends of Mercy Luncheon in Nashville

The Nashville home dining room was packed last Thursday, as we kicked off another successful Friends of Mercy Luncheon. Many of our Community Board Members were there to share their passion and vision for Mercy Ministries but we were also encouraged to see so many new faces – 55 people in attendance, including some of the members of the women’s pro-softball team, the Tennessee Diamonds. New Mercy Artist Partner, Dorothy Savage was also there to show her support.

Guests toured the Nashville home following the luncheon and were eager to learn how they could get involved in supporting the young women we serve. Many of our guests took information about the Run for Mercy 5K being held in Nashville on October 30, 2010. Another friend made the commitment to become a Treasure Builder. Treasure Builders commit to invest their resources in Mercy Ministries on a monthly basis. Here is what one of our guests had to say about how she was inspired at the luncheon:

I feel very blessed to have been a guest. I loved meeting some of the girls, they were really inspiring! I would love to volunteer in any way possible and you can totally count me in for the 5K! I will continue to spread the word about Mercy Ministries and the work that God is doing there! - Lindsay

In these tough economic times, it is amazing to see how God continues to provide for the work being done at Mercy Ministries through the faithfulness of our donors. Special thanks to Community Board Members, Matt and Tammy Meinel, who generously sponsored this event.

We hope you enjoy these pictures from the luncheon:
