A Baby Shower for Mercy Mother-To-Be

This weekend, Sarah, one of Mercy Ministries’ Nashville residents, gathered with family, friends and a group of local volunteers for a baby shower. Sarah made the brave decision to come to Mercy Ministries when she faced an unplanned pregnancy. Once Sarah made the decision to parent her child, a local group known as Blessed Beginnings came forward to help her with everything she would need to get started.

For the past three years, Blessed Beginnings, made up of young mothers from the Nashville community, has volunteered its time to organize and host baby showers for the mothers-to-be at Mercy Ministries. It is their desire to provide these expectant mothers with the necessary resources, such as strollers, car seats, baby clothes, diapers, bottles, toys and much more. Members of Blessed Beginnings come armed with cake, punch, flowers, and finger foods and stand in as friends for the day.
