Monroe Residents Have a Blast at Winter Jam

Last Saturday, Mercy Monroe residents had a blast attending the Winter Jam concert in Bossier City, Louisiana, the largest annual Christian music tour in the U.S.

Chuck Halley, husband of Mercy Monroe staff member, Teresa Halley, owns a nonprofit business production company called Glory 2 Glory that acted as the local coordinator for this event. He was excited to invite the Mercy residents as special guests. The girls loved getting to enjoy this powerful time of worship. They were excited to see some of the greatest Christian artists of our day. The concert lineup included performances by New Song, The Newsboys, Tenth Avenue North, Third Day, Sidewalk Prophets, Robert Pierre, Revive, Mikeschair, and Fireflight! Midway through the lineup, Tony Nolan, the concert tour pastor, used his wacky humor and passion to help concert goers connect with God in a life-changing way

Here is what some of the residents had to say about the concert:

Brittany said, “I had so much fun! There were so many awesome bands – some of my favorites! It was such a great time of worship and fellowship with other believers.”

Tina said, “It was great to see people from different backgrounds all worshiping together. I had a wonderful time.”

Kelli said, “There were so many great bands this year! We had the best time dancing and singing and I’m really glad that we had the opportunity to go.”
