A Night at the Muny for ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’

As a surprise to the entire St. Louis home, a private donor provided the residents with tickets to the Summer Series at The Muny in St. Louis, Missouri. The Muny is the nation’s oldest and largest outdoor theatre. The residents were excited to be able to attend the musical show, "Meet Me in St. Louis". The residents had a blast at the show as they shared moments of laughter and singing throughout the production.

Thank you, to all who made this special evening possible for the girls in St. Louis. They are looking forward to the next show!

Here is what a few of the residents had to say about their first night at The Muny…

Emily said, “It was such a privilege to see an amazing theatre performance through the generosity of a private donor! I am such a theatre lover and it is a rare and precious gift to see such amazing talent. The weather was perfect, the fireworks were breathtaking and the Mercy sisters I got to share it with were awesome. It was a total gift!”

Michaela said, “Enjoying The Muny was a great way to spend a beautiful summer evening. My favorite part was seeing all the smiling faces from a group of local nursing home residents who sang along to their favorite tunes. The show was a joy for everyone and brought smiles and laughter to all ages.”

Annie said, “As the stage lit up and smiles flashed across the theater, I was reminded of the good parts of my past, and I again felt God fill me with bright hope for my life and future!”
