Lisa Bevere Impacts Nashville Girls and Staff!

Lisa Bevere and her husband, John Bevere, have been long time personal friends of Nancy Alcorn and Mercy Ministries, as well as faithful monthly supporters. Lisa is a much sought-after international speaker, bestselling author, and co-host of “The Messenger” TV program, which broadcasts worldwide. She is also the mother of four sons and in recent days, she calls herself a “grandma wannabe,” as her oldest son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child. Over the years, John and Lisa have supplied all of the Mercy homes with an abundance of resources by donating books, teaching CDs and DVDs, as well as group studies. Lisa and Nancy have spoken together at many conferences around the world.

Yesterday, we were so excited to have Lisa take time out of her busy schedule to pay a special visit to the Nashville home. Lisa spent the day encouraging our girls and staff by sharing a powerful message about the need for women to step up, step out, and make a difference in our generation. She shared many personal examples from her own life, many of which had us all falling out of our seats laughing! The girls and staff were deeply touched and impacted by her transparency and amazing heart for the next generation.

We were absolutely thrilled to have Lisa visit our Nashville home and we can’t wait for her to come back!

Here is what some of the Mercy girls had to say in response to Lisa’s time at Mercy Ministries:

Bethany said, “What impacted me the most from this message was that we are to live our lives in such a way that every interaction has the potential to be a divine appointment.”

Amber said, “I realized that God wants us to present our lives to Him. He is the only One who can truly bring the best out of us. Every interaction is an opportunity to bring heaven to earth.”

Kristan said, “Wow! Lisa’s message really sums a lot of things up. So often we use our strength to benefit only ourselves instead of using it to bring glory to the Kingdom. We put up a shield and act tough, ignoring those in need. We are so wrapped up in glorifying ourselves that we miss out on His.”

Meagan said, “I loved it when Lisa said that strengths are to be used for service and not for status. That really made me think and want to use my strengths to serve others rather than just to get ahead. Our world would be a much better place of more people would live this way.”
